Renewable energies are energy sources that come from natural resources and are constantly regenerating. In contrast, non-renewable energies, such as oil, gas and coal, are exhausted over time and their exploitation has a negative impact on the environment.
On the one hand, the importance of renewable energies lies in their ability to reduce dependence on fossil fuels and thus mitigate the effects of climate change. They are also cleaner and less polluting sources of energy, making them a more sustainable option in the long term. It is also important to note that although renewable energies are cleaner than fossil fuels, they can still have some negative environmental impacts, such as landscape interruption and waste generation.
All in all, renewables are key to the transition towards a more sustainable economy that is less dependent on fossil fuels. Despite the challenges they face, their use must continue to be promoted globally to achieve a greener and more sustainable future.
